Barooga to NT Border

Our first stop over from leaving Barooga NSW was a free camp at Bottle Bend 20klms east of Mildura, off the Sturt Hwy. We can highly recommend this camp, you can launch a boat, have a fish or a campfire by the river. There is plenty of parking for big rigs and is dog friendly, its off the road about 1 klm so no road noise.

We stopped at the South Australian Border, made sure we had gotten rid of any fruits & veggies that are prohibited.

A few coffee stops and look around then we stopped at Crystal Brook Free Camp with Water & Dump point. Trains running during the night a bit noisy but a quaint old town with lots of history

Then we headed to Lake Hart SA to free camp this Lake is a salt lake, you must do the walk down there as it looks like a huge expanse of water but it is all solid Salt that you are walking on. Great free camp sunset was awesome!!

Next stop was Coober Pedy to fuel up and fill our tanks with water. We have visited here before and the underground houses are interesting also the mine tour, we didnt stay this time and kept heading northward.
